Think I’ve just been going through a tough patch lately after axillary clearance, with a seroma developing which has been drained three times already. Waiting for radiotherapy which I can’t have anyway if I still have seroma. I also developed an allergic reaction - possibly internal stitches or adhesive dressing. Had a large red, very itchy area over surgery site, spreading all around. My hair growing back was the one chink of light and I couldn’t face losing it again so soon. x
Hi, was 75 when I had lumpectomy, chemo and radiotherapy for grade 3 ER+ HER2- ending in November 2021. Hair started to come back quite quickly and my natural red, also curly and quite thick. I always had a head of really thick red hair!
However started on letrozole in the December and my hair started to change, losing the curl, colour, change in texture and not growing as quickly or as thick. I am now well down the line and hoping my Letrozole will be ending December 2026. My hair is now so thin it looks like I’ll be going back to wearing wigs.
In our BC group, only one other has experienced hair changes so, hopefully, you’ll be the same.

Hi Tigress, if you don’t mind my asking, what do you mean exactly about cognitive state? I have been on Letrozole for about 8 months & Ribociclib about 6 months & my memory has become truly awful. Honestly it’s quite frightening how bad it has gone!!
