Ist Mammogram Hi Girls
I am nearly 2 years from diagnosis and nearly 12 months from the finish of my chemo, on Wednesday I went for my 3 monthly check up with this time my surgeon. I had a few little niggles about some bumpy bits above my scar so he said that he would give me a thourough check up (eekkk) and then I would know what was normal and what wasn’t.
Anyway the bumpy bits was my breast bone and tissue from the operations. He also mentioned that I was overdue the dreaded mammogram on my good side. (I must be honest at this point my hot sweats which haven’t been too bad went into overdrive.)
After that had been done I was suprised to learn that it takes 3 weeks to find out the results, before, I had always had them right there and then.
The woman who did it said that if I was worried I should ring the surgeon and ask her. Anyone else had this happen?
Just wanted to mention to other girls who have had a problem with weigth gain that I joined Rosemary Conelly’s class in the middle of January and so far, without much effort really I have lost 18lbs so its just nice to know that some of the diets can work for us.

I have had two mamograms on good boob since diagnosis and its always been a couple of weeks before I’ve got the results, and I think if there was a problem you would be told a lot sooner.
Well done with the weight loss, I took the bull by the horns and joined weight watchers on Thursday, after trying to go it alone for a year with no success, so fingers crossed.
Had to smile at your post as I also questioned bumpy bits which were my breast bone!!! I think the problem is we’ve gone from not being over aware of our bodies into analyising every mark, bump and sensation!!!
