It feels very strange to say this but I was diagnosed with breast cancer 6 weeks ago and had an lumpectomy 1 and a half weeks ago. Is this recently diagnosed? I have not been bac’ to work as I have a stressful job and am t9ld to look after myself at the moment. What does the cancer mean? I don’t know ? I see all these abbreviatios and haven’t got.a clue if it relates to me. I have had no results yet and it feels like professionals aro7nd me just assume I know, I feel in the dark but don’t know what about… i feel I just don’t know what is going on . It also seems weird coming o; here because I don’t know what I am asking really. Can anyone else relate to this feeling?thanks for listening to me ramble on

Hello and welcome to the forum where you will get loads of help and support from the wonderful ladies on here. This is always a very confusing time as there is a lot of information, generally put in medical terms, given to you. If you speak with your breast care nurse (bcn) she will be able to answer any questions you have and if we can we might be able to help between with whatever abbreviations you need explaining.
I would say that it is recently diagnosed. When you were initially diagnosed did they tell you what type bc it was? Have you got an appointment yet to get the results of your lumpectomy? I am assuming that they gave you a booklet after your op setting out the exercises you need to do post surgery to maintain the mobility in your arm.
