Does anyone have itching boob ?? I am 13months post surgery and five months post rads ( on Tamoxifen) I get little spots and it drives me up the wall. Also could scratch my nipple off as well at times. Not worried just curious???

Hi!
When I take my bra off at night I get really bad itching on the underside of my breasts. I don’t know if its from the rads (5 weeks of them finished end of August) - I had a lumpectomy in June and didn’t have chemo so it can’t be a side effect from that.
I had rads back in Feb/March 2007 and I experience the itching as well, particularly in the nipple area, but also near the scar where I had the WLE. I try to find bras where there is no seam to aggravate the scar, also no underwiring if poss. It drives me round the bend at times. After all this time the skin is still pink some days as well.
Hi Bobbie
I finished my rads back in August. My breast is red itchy and swollen. My stretch marks are filled with fluid and orange peely. Was referred to consultant as recurrance was suspected a couple of weeks ago. They say its all a reaction to the rads 4 months later! Been told it will all return to normal within about 6 months.
Many thanks for all your replies , my boob still looks sunburnt so perhaps it will settle eventually . When i see my Gp I will ask her advice on best thing to stop itching. Liquid Eurax sometimes helps but occassionally have to resort to anti histamine ( which are prescribed for me) only problem is can’t find one that works withou zoncing me out.

Hi Bobbie, you do have my sympathy, I have had some trouble too, orange peel around WLE scar and itching which gets worse as the day goes on, under my breast and just into my armpit. These were the skin areas affected most by rads, which ended early August. I have found that Aloe Vera Gel is quite soothing, I am due to see breast surgeon 12th Jan and will ask him about it then

Hi Bobbie yes I will let you know. Follow up appointments are so nerve-racking aren’t they?
Take care
