I finished my radiotherapy 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Underneath my breast was quite badly burnt and then got infected and was weeping, I had a course of antibioitics to clear it up and needed to have it dressed daily. Everything has cleared up but now my breast is really very itchy all over but mainly on the nipple and it’s driving me nuts. Anyone experienced this?

Yes I got itchy thru rads. The radiologists said that I could take anti-histamines to help ease it. My GP prescribed cetirizine (Piriteze) and that helped.

Yes me too, drives you crazy, but does stop I only used aqueous cream, my nipple went very dark then peeled, didn’t last long, so don’t worry xx
I had my bone scan last week and a couple of days later my scalp was very itchy and dandruff flaking off, i get dry skin anyway, but I was scratching away all day on Friday, seems to be a bit better today. I get psoriasis so bet I will have problems when my rads start. Oh well small price to pay for successful treatment.

Hi Daisy, not sure if other people have had this experience, but, it’s only on my boob, nowhere else. I was blaming the tape on the dresseings at first but i didnt have any dressings on the area which is giving me the discomfort now.
