Had my first tax about 10 days ago, since yesterday i have had the most terrible itchy burning hands and feet. A rash came up on my palms a few days back but now the itch snd burn is driving me crazy.
Has anyone had this and found a relief. Im sitting here with my feet in a bowl of cold water to try and cool them off
I remember it well, the best way to deal with it is keep your feet as cold as possible if the temp gets warm they itch and peel. All the best.
Itchy, flakey feet were my only SE on TAX so I felt I’d got off pretty lightly! I was prescribed daktacort by my GP and then given something much stronger by my chemo nurse (can’t remember the name - sorry - but maybe your BCN or chemo nurse could help) which stopped the itching. She seemed a bit surprised that I hadn’t been diligently slathering my feet in moisturiser to help prevent it - but I didn’t know it was a common side effect! It was a bit annoying - but I ended up with baby soft feet! Much more effective than a fishy pedi!!
If it’s driving you crazy then maybe ask your pharmacist today if there’s anything that might help before you get to see your GP.

I certainley will ask as this is horrid. Ive been awake since 5am with it and it took me ling enough to actually get to sleep in the first place.
I didnt know it was a side effect either but in reading some info overnight seems it is.

Make sure that you are drinking plenty of fluids too whilst on Docetaxel as this will help flush your system through
