Results are in. Clear margins, though the tumour was very deep and they couldn’t get all the margin they would have liked and they want to do booster radiotherapy for the deep stuff as well as the genera treatmentl. Lymph nodes (they took 5! No wonder my armpit hurts…) are also clear, so big sigh of relief there. They’ve sent away some tissue for oncotype testing to see whether I need some chemo before the radiotherapy, but basically what the doc is saying is ‘if you have to have this cancer, you’ve got the best kind to deal with’. I’ll take that. I’m counting it as a win in Round One, just don’t know where the next match is to be played…
