Hi Leekim, I’m two and a half weeks post chemo and definitely still have some side effects, it’s getting better but not gone. I had fec followed by T, so the fec nausea had long gone, but other stuff is still hanging around. I think the se’s last longer each time. It’s a pain, but it will pass. Hang on in there!

Fantastic that it’s your last today miss a. Anniversary lunch sounds lovely. I had two glasses of champagne after my last T. It was the best I’d ever felt following chemo.
Leekim my last was two weeks ago and I still have some lingering SEs. Tiredness being the main culprit. Tastebuds are still a bit haywire but getting better. I know I have to have tamoxifen but no one has mentioned it yet. My oncology appointment isn’t until early December. Seems a long wait since finishing chemo on October 17?
I might give my bc nurse a call. X

It’s my last one tomorrow keeping everything crossed no hiccups I get the tiredness I’m starting to feel like that bit doesn’t leave I have also had the odd weepy episode!!! Just think it’s the whole thing taking its toll now! Very excited for tomorrow though!!!
Angela, that does sound like a long wait, I’d call the nurse and have a chat about it. I’m sure it is fine, as the tamoxifen is for preventing a future recurrence so there’s presumably no particular hurry, but there’s no harm in asking.
Good luck for tomorrow Michelle (not that you’ll need it) it feels fantastic to get the last one out of the way.
I know what you mean about feeling emotional. I cried all day last Monday. Just couldn’t shake it off.
Then I felt guilty for feeling sorry for myself. Definitely my hormones being messed with as I’m not usually one for crying.
Carole your appointment seems ages away as well. I suppose they know what they’re doing.
You’re right tatyana, probably no hurry especially with rads just around the corner. I’ve left a msg for my bc nurse anyway. I also don’t like the fact that I’m having a ct scan this Friday but have to wait until December to find out results from oncologist. Maybe my nurse will give me them over the phone. She did last time. X
Could be the hormones, but also a natural reaction to this whole experience. I’ve had a couple of weepy days since finishing chemo, and I haven’t had any hormones to speak of for years! I think we all need a bit of a sob now and then, to get it out of the system!

My “sunburn” hands are definitely getting better, which is a relief. Fingertips very sensitive and painful, don’t know whether it’s the nails or neuropathy or what. Just have to wait and see.
Have booked a sneaky long weekend in Spain next week, hopefully the se’s will be well under control by then and hubby and me can have a break before my op. Can’t wait!
That sounds lovely it will do you the world of good got that funny chemical hangover feeling so giotto have food bath and an early night x well till the steroids wake me up x
