@jenny4 I’m also having abemaciclib and I also thought of it as oral chemo but it isn’t, it works differently and I’ve been told too that people do cope with it better than with chemo. I think diarrhoea (oh joy!) is the main side effect. @runningandgin a break in treatment sounds good and I imagine it will really help, it’s all about balance isn’t it?
@jenny4 we do have to advocate for ourselves a lot, don’t we? Impressed you’ve requested MDT take into consideration your preexisting condition.
@slenderframe it is so hard to look ahead positively, isn’t it? Looking in the mirror and seeing I’m still me, even with no hair or eyebrows, one breast and chemo belly helps, somehow x
Chemo went ok for me yesterday. They almost didn’t give it because apparently I had signs of infection and my liver enzymes are up but bloods showed no infection even though the day before they did. Feeling sleepy but ok, decided to stay in bed today mostly. Weather is good though.

That’s exactly the regime I’m on, @runningandgin . I swore when the Dr said the hormones might give me another menopause/symptoms of. I went through that nonsense 12 years ago and managed to avoid hot flushes, so the idea of getting them in my early sixties didn’t go down well.
