just dc need advice

Hi just been dc with grade 2 duct bc having op on tuesday can anyone tell me how long it will be before i find out if it nodes or clear. The reason i ask is i went with lump last year and all result came back neg then this time no change on mamo and scan but picked up on fna so frightened it has been there all this time.

It took just over a week for me to get my results back. Although the surgeon told me verbally on his ward round that he was pretty sure it had gone to my lymph nodes when he took them out and he was right.

Thank you its just the waiting everyone says thats the worsed part. my head hurts with all the thinking and trying to come to terms with it, I feel i am trying to put on a brave face for everyone and inside a quivering mess wanting to know any information i can thats positive this site is great for advice and support xx

Yes, like Sue I had the results of the nodes just over a week after the op.

Hi poppet
Just like the others, I too waited just over a week for the results. The waiting is tough and we all agree dealing with the unknown
is the worse part. In my case the lymph glands were clear and I hope you will be the same. I t was also grade 2 ductal and
picked up by the FNA.
My thoughts wil be with you on Tuesday

I had my lump removal on Monday 28th July and got my results the following wednesday - 6th.

My wait was a week too was told size and grade immediately after op;then hormone status,type,nodes[neg] a week later.HER2 result a long time later.I had WLE.Good Luck

Hi thank you i think i will just have to be patient as you all know you want to be on the next step all the way but it the same time you want it all to slow down
i know i am grade 2 with a 1.5cm and it does not appear to be hormone postive although bc nurse said that it might change after op

Hi Poppet, I had to wait a week after my WLE and SNB, and now it is a week again after my re-excision and full clearance of nodes. Good luck on Tuesday - let us know how it goes. I get my results that day. The waiting is definitely very hard - I have found this week a bit of a nightmare.
