just got my results - WooHooo

2 weeks ago I had a bilateral mastectomy. Surgeon (a wonderful Mr Thomas at Carlisle) said the Lymph nodes looked like they were probably clear.

So the nurse calls me yesterday at half 4 to say can you come in first thing in the morning we have your results.

I go to the pub to while away the time with my OH and friend, wake up in a blind panic at 7:30 this morning to dash up the motorway.

Turns out Mr Thomas was right, no lymph nodes involved, and clear margins.

It was a grade 3 which I thought was a bad thing but as he pointed out not necessarily as it was fast growing it hadn’t been in my body long and looks very very unlikely that it managed to escape from the breast.

So as far as I can tell that’s about the best news you can get isn’t it. I can’t imagine better.

Don’t yet know about the er/pr/her2 side of things and will see onc in 4 weeks but no rush. I’m going to enjoy this month.

I know they don’t use the word cured but I feel like it’s gone and have no reason the believe otherwise.

If any of you visit the lakes this easter and see a very happy, very flat chested lady sitting by a lake having a picnic with a tall handsome fellow and a mad collie dog shout Angie and I’ll wave back

I hope everyone else gets news as good.

Angie

Cheers Ladies

As for sun shining the whole time… Now that’s hoping for too much as I live here

Still trying to get it all to sink in. OH keeps playing music that makes me cry… tears of happiness though.

Someone pinch me please.

Hi Angie

What lovely news for you, your relief and excitement leaps off the page.

And as for the lakes, my most favorite place in England. I have been watching Wainwrights Walks and feel just as out of breath as Julia does. I can’t get at Easter but I will be all over those there hills and dales come Whitsun, summer and October.
My challenge once fully fit is Striding Edge (no not really) may be Langridge.

I will still look for a lady with a collie and a tall handsome bloke.

Take care
C

Great news Angie, congratulations and have a great time at the Lakes
