Hi
This is my first time!!!
I have just had surgery to remove a lump, that has been described to me as suspicious!!? (C4 from the biopsy) whatever this means.
I am now in the waiting game as I have received my results clinic appointment for over 3 weeks time. I feel this is to long to wait although it may be a good sign. Any advise would be appreciated.
Hi Michelle
Welcome to the forums where I am sure you will receive lots of valuable advice and support from your fellow forum users. Hi Michelle
Did they give you the result of your biopsy straight away, usually I think the biopsy takes a while to be tested, when I had an ultrasound they graded me at a 4 (1 being not cancer and 5 definately). A 4 was very suspicious, when I had the lump removed I was told that I had abnormal cells in my lump and it was all cleared so no further treatment.
Im sorry your appointment is so far away if you need to talk about anything just ask, the ladies on here are lovely, we all know what the waiting game is like.

Hi Yvonne
Thanks for your reply, I had the results of the biopsy about a week after and that’s when they told me it was a 4 and had to be removed, so I am now justwaiting for the results of the lumpectomy.
I am very positive about everything although I was suprised about the results so far as I have just turned 40 and every one kept telling me it was very unlikely to be bad at my age!!!
Hopefully my results will be good and as you say no more treatment needed.
Thanks again

hi Michelle
i am going in tomorrow for my op but i find it very strange that they did not do a core biopsy from the lump being as they are telling you a grade 4.
i have been told that after the op tomorrow and then back in 10 days if the tissue doesn’t show are more cancer cells, they know the lump is from the biopsy.
i would get on the phone right now if i was you and ask why it is going to take so long.
will speak to you in a couple of days
love liz
Hi Liz
Maybe I didn’t explain myself very well!!..my C4 from the core biopsy is what is classed as suspicious of cancer and so the doctors decided to remove the lump. Once the histology was returned from the lumpectomy then they could give me a definite result.
Unfortunately my results are now back and it has been confirmed that I have invasive ductal carcinoma, so now I’m am booked for further surgery and then possible chemotherapy and then radiotherapy, I have already started on tamoxifen.
thank you for your support I hope things go well for you with your surgery let me know how you are?

hi Michelle
Sorry to here your news.
I have just had my operation for what you have been confirmed with.
I am not going to tell that all is pain free as it is not.
Are they going to do the wide surgery if so you will require short slevee button of pjs and also tops like that as well. you might find you will not be able to get any bras that they say to buy if you have not yet go to M and S or John lewis make sure you buy a cup size bigger but they have people there to help you. Make sure you have got plenty of pain killers in the house as well.
If you need to know more let me know.
lots of love
