Morning everybody.
I’m a new member, thought I’d just pop by and say hello. I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in July. So far I’ve had a wide local excision and sentinel node biopsy, clear margins but traces found in the sentinel node, next was an axillary lymph node clearance, which came back clear of cancer cells. Due to the lump being only 12mm yet traces being in the sentinel node and my age , the multi disciplinary team feel it is best to have chemo so I start FEC-T on Thursday. I have already shaved my head and raised £3000 for breast cancer care, so that helped, but I have to say I’m looking forward to getting my wig :smileyvery-happy: there’s no spoilers, I hit the wrong one!

Hi peanuts_mum
Welcome to the forum and thank you so much for your fundraising.
I hope you will find lots of support on the forum. You might find it helps to join one of the threads started by members beginning their chemo in the same month. I’ve attached a link to the October group:

Good afternoon,
I am new to the forum also. dignosed in April this year. I am just finished my chemo and will be going onto radiotheraphy next month.I have alway been a cancer supporter never saw myself as a cancer patient.
My husband and I are planning a holiday next year March/April of next year. Can anyone advise about holiday insurance ?
Hi everyone, I am new on here too. I was diagnosed with grade 3 invasive and aggressive bc in2010. I had a mx, reconstruction with an implant, chemo (FEC75) then in July 2011 I started on Arimdex. I have just started pilates and am hoping it will help with all the joint problems. I must admit these last couple of years I feel like I have aged at least another 20 years and never have a proper nights sleep. Does anyone else on here have the same problems?
