Kadcyla side effect help

Hi @sms. Thanks for your answer. I’m going to discuss with oncologist at next appointment. I’ll report back. Latest sympton is just got palpitations after eating sugary lemon drizzle cake! But i did have a full caffeine coffee earlier so I’ll have to be more careful. My heart function is also being monitored as was too low for first Kadcyla. I’ve got annual leave this week so cruising along and even light gardening which is soul therapy.

More power and health to you dear! We will also try to share notes on anything else we experience this cycle. My partner is also taking off from work this week and trying to simply sleep, eat and binge watch some shows. God knows every single person going through this phase needs all the love and care in the world! Good luck with the gardening and may them flowers bloom and bring happiness to you and everyone around.

Yey had 2nd Kadcyla this morning so liver must be happier after last week. Went well as i focused on keeping hydrated yesterday and cannula in first time (took 5 sttempts last time when accidentally dehydrated). Had a nap this afternoon as low energy and general hangover feeling, enjoying reading in the sun in the garden listening to birds which i never normally seem to have time for! Yesterday i got a call to say my therapy sessions can start next week.

Congratulations! One more Kadcyla done and dusted. My partner’s third jab also went okay it seems. The ALT levels were quite high but I am guessing not as high to stop them from giving the third dose. It has been a week and currently she seems fatigued. The fatigue and body pain for her seems to hit on the third day post the infusion and lasts three - four days, thereafter subsiding slowly. A bit of nose bleeding but a lot better than the second one. The two days she just slept it out and binge watched her favourite show whenever she could. Energy is getting back very slowly but now with the long weekend, more time to rest and recover. She took sick leave this cycle from work. Really hoping and praying for an excellent next Kadcyla cycle for everyone on it. I am so happy you took out time to tend to your garden and listen to the lovely birds  Have a restful weekend!

Hi. Seems similar to my week post treatment, definitely more fatigued than usual but able to function more normally than regular Chemo. I’m hopeful i can do 3 short days at work next week, just doing the nice bits! Brain fog a bit better today and muscles were hurting so went for a short walk in the woods which has helped ease that. I’ve just turned 54 so I don’t know what’s treatment related or menopause! I had a 4 week gap this time because of liver levels. I’d almost prefer that but it would then mean it would stretch even longer over the year, so… Hope you can both enjoy the easter weekend.
