Keep the faith

Hi all

i stay on this forum as I find it helpful in terms of the ongoing hormone therapy treatment post surgery and radiotherapy.

However I will say to all you newly diagnosed ladies, keep the faith. You will be well cared for. The treatment is crap but you will get through it. There will be very dark days but also more positive days. Get all the support you can. If you want pyjama days, have them. If you feel like sobbing do it. I am 5 months post op and you do get through it. It is the most shocking of diagnoses. Speak to people and tell your nearest and dearest how you are feeling otherwise they can’t help. Most of all be kind to yourself, sleep as much as you can, eat well and have the treats. Sorry to sound like some sort of motivational recording but I wish you all the best and huge hugs.

Well said. Tomorrow im 9 months post last chemo. My hair is growing really well already had it cut twice and it needs doing again. I’m on Herceptin until mid February 19 but otherwise I’m trying to put treatment behind me and lead as normal a life as possible. I have the odd tired days after Herceptin but otherwise back to normal. You can get through this. Join the monthly treatment threads relevant to you and enjoy the support of other led to help you through XX

Hi Bellas Mum

Im newly diagnosed… It’s been a very long 5 weeks since I was told I had Breast Cancer, my appointment with my oncologist is tomorrow! (I have had MRI, Bone Scan, Heart Scan in between… and my CT scan is tomorrow too) but I’m hoping to get the show on the road with regards to chemo, at last!!! The waiting is awful!

Thanks for your kind words and the hug…

Hope you’re getting back on your feet x
