laparoscopic bilateral salpingo oophorectomy

So… I had my appt. yesterday, to see when I would be having my ovaries removed… they had a cancellation on Monday’s list!!! I’m quite nervous and scared about it, as I feel like I have had no time to prepare!! Better sooner than later though right?

Joan (31 years)

i hope everything goes well for you. I had my ovaries removed before bc in 2004. I had severe endemetriosis and was 34 at the time.i had HRT for 4 years but then bc came so no more HRT now (8/8 ER +).Thinking of you on Monday.

Hi Joan, hope all goes well today…xxx

Hi i hope you operation went well i am having oophorectomy in January would love to know your take on it all. Had chemo, just had double mast, awaiting radiotherapy. Hope you are okay. x

It was easy eh?

I had mine over 2 years ago but unfortunately keyhole`surgery became open surgery and an extra 3 nights in hospitsl but I was back on my bike 15 days after the op and cycled for my checkup to an open mouthed surgeon.

It reduces risk by a lot and is really was an easy decision for me being so old and post menopausal thanks to chemo.

Hi Poannie, Hope you are recovering now from your op. Mine was not done by keyhole and was an open procedure.
