I’m now 10 days post op from LD Flap reconstruction and although everything seems to be healing well… last of the drains out and dressings off today… I have been having some weird sensations which are steadily getting worse.
If I bend over or move my body in certain ways, my boob seems to jerk back toward my armpit with a feeling a bit like a taut rubber band is being pulled over a lump deep inside (very difficult to describe the sensation really) and yanking it back. The boob actually physically moves!
Yes - you’ll be glad to know you are not alone! The muscle doesn’t realise that it has been relocated and can take a long, long time to settle. Mine used to do it all the time when pushing supermarket trolleys! Also I had a small op the other week under local and the second surgeon had to hold me down as it started contracting, they realised they should have put me to sleep, it was quite stressful for both me and them!
