Hi I have secondary breast cancer in chest cavity lower spin and lungs - I’m taking letrozol and xolidex combination which are giving me severe sweats through the day and night and also really sore joints. I have been given clonidine and also another drug - can’t remember it’s name - began with a V - for the sweats but neither worked :(((( any suggestions for alternative treatments or hints to help lessen this miserable side effect ??? X

Could I suggest that you also post in the secondaries forum as there may be others there who have also had similar problems to yourself. Also you might be interested in joining our Secondary live chat service which runs for an hour every Tuesday evening (8.30-9.30pm) here you can 'talk; in real time to others who have a secondary diagnosis. The session is hosted by a nurse and a facilitator so there’s always someone to talk to. The regular users of this session are a wonderful support to each other and welcome openly any new users. Hi,Vivienne, my BCN suggested acupuncture for the sweats . I haven’t tried it but she swears it works.
