life coaching

Im 18 months post diagnosis and was struggling with all the usual questions and worries associated with cancer and decided to do something about it. I want to LIVE my life and not spend it in a state of panic.
I started seeing a life coach that specializes in “life after cancer” infact Dr Jo had breast cancer herself so she knew exactly where i was coming from. I had my last session today and I cannot tell you what a difference that lady has made to my life. My NEW life starts tonight and im not looking back. Cancer is my PAST and its definately not going to ruin my PRESENT or stop me making plans for my FUTURE!!

Deed,

How very lucky of you to find the ideal life coach!

If you don’t mind I’m going to steal your quote and save it for when I’m out of active treatment.

Good luck with your journey and remember to let us know how you get on - its so good to hear inspirational news!

Big hugs

I saw a life coach a couple of years ago after walking out of a very stressful job. She took me on a time line therapy journey - helped me to forgive people from my past and taught me how to live in the NOW. Certainly turned my way of thinking around and has and is helping me through this particular blip in my life.

Congratulations on discovering the secret!

How do you get one of these?

Beardie, I googled “life coaching” in my area and found somebody who was doing a research programme for Southampton University so I was lucky to have 6 sessions free if i was happy to fill in mountains of papers. Im not sure if im allowed to put names on here but will give it a go (it may get erased) but i believe they have programms all over the country. Its called LYLAC (live your life after cancer)

good luck

Thanks for the info, Deed - I have checked it out and they sound great - just what I think I am in need of right now. Trouble is I live in London and don’t know of any recommended ones here. Might have to travel…

Brilliant to read this. My consultant has put me in touch with her as she is local to me ( not getting the usouthampton study but think its worth paying for if it gets me back on track )am now really looking forward to reaping the rewards. x

Thanks. I’ve been in touch with them via email but would have to travel to Bournemouth or Winchester for face-to-face sessions. I hate doing things like that over the phone! But I am considering if it is possible to travel as I haven’t found anything like it yet in London that is recommended.

I’m so pleased it worked for you, Deed.
