Lipomodelling help

Hi, I have just had lipomodelling 48 hours ago. I am very bruised, and wanted to know how long it takes for the swelling to go down and when it will soften.

Hi Claire.S

Thank you for posting.

Some bruising, swelling and pain is common after lipomodelling but will usually settle over time. It usually takes a few weeks for your breasts to look and feel more natural. The donor site can also be swollen and bruised. Often you are advised to wear a sports-type bra day and night to control the swelling.

If the swelling and bruising don’t settle, you may want to contact your treatment team.

Here are some forum links to discussions about lipomodelling.
