Lisa update re brain mets

I don’t know how you cope having to watch Lisa going through her struggles every day. To be ill ourselves is bad enough, but to have to watch your beautiful child, I use the word child because no matter how old they are they’re still our babies, must be horrendous for you. If one of my sons (16 and 19) has the slightest mishap I panic, so I can’t begin to understand the inner strength you have to find on a daily basis. The only compensation is that she has her lovely Mum doing everything she can to help. Lisa seems to be such a trouper, she’s obviously gets her inner strength and positive attitude from you. You’re both very gutsy women.

Lots of Love

Sue,

I hope you and Lisa had a lovely weekend, and I’ve no doubt you have welcomed the break from daily trips to the hospital. I’ll be thinking of you both over this next couple of days,

Take care,

Kelly

Thanks everyone … yes it was lovely not to have the trips to hospital for 2 days. Lisa’s boyfriend is taking her this morning for the first of her 2 concentrated sessions on the cerebellum. I will go tomorrow because she will see Onc afterwards and I would like to be there. She is very slow this morning with no energy after having quite a good weekend. Some of it of course will be psychological with having to go to hospital. Her hair started to fall yesterday and a lot came out this morning so later she is having it shaved again. Like someone else said you think its not going to affect you the second time but it does and that too could be making her feel down. Also of course with hair coming out through WBR you are never sure when or if it is going to come back. She has hats and a wig from before but we are thinking of getting her a real hair made to measure wig this time. I know it will be expensive but it doesn’t matter if it makes her feel good about herself. Does anyone have any idea of price? or best place in Dorset / Hampshire area? I have heard that there is someone at New Milton.
