I dont know what has happened to the Liverpool meet up thread but i can’t access it for some reason, so i am starting another one.
We could use this to wish each other a Happy Christmas or to let each other know how we are doing. If no one posts then thats ok.
Some ideas about a meet up in Jan and dates folk can come would be good.
I am thinking near the mid/end of Jan.

Is this a thread for people who currently live in Liverpool or can current outsiders who used to live there join in. I lived in Liverpool when I was first married (many many years ago…Aintree area. I still occasionally visit to meet friends. Currently live in Cumbria but would love to meet fellow Liverpuddlians who share diagnosis of this sh*t disease

Looking forward to the next meet. Looking forward to meeting the ladies I haven’t met and seeing the ones I have met. Going to visit friend on the Wirral on Tuesday. Not quite Liverpool but if I stretch my neck far enough and sniff hard enough I may be able to smell the Mersey hehehe.

Not been on for a while coz had a very bad cold, not quite flu, but fed up with it all now. Had to cancel my bone scan today as the cough was so bad and another day off work. I dont seem strong enough to battle through like I used to. Sorry to hear about Nicky, Ruth send her our love when you speak to her. Bubbly, I think I have emailed you, if it’s not you is anyone else from our second meet (found address in handbag this week!).

good to meet another ex Liverpudlian now living in Cumbria. I live near Whitehaven…had my surgery at Carlisle hospital but transferred to Christies in Manchester for chemo and rads. have just finished treatment so am back at home and feeling a bit bereft and unsupported so if you like would love to meet up with you for coffee and chat. I took early retiremant from teaching just before diagnosi…so much for a long and carefree retirement.

Lovely to see you all on our new thread. Am so sorry to hear that Nicky may have a change though- grrrr, horrible stuff! Anyway, Nicky, you take care and see you in January. I’m thinking of you.
Also, thinking of everyone with flu, coughs and colds! I was knocked out with some sort of flu thing for a week but I just rested loads and thankfully, got over it quickly.
I hope I’ll be able to make it to our meet up in January. January will be busy for me too with one thing and another.
Funny old day, have another friend having a mastectomy today… crazy, mad world…

Im off to the hospital today to be told for the second time that I cant have Herceptin heart reading is still too low, just another hurdle to get over!
