London Marathon

Hi Everyone,

I am running the Marathon on Sunday for Breast Cancer Care. Have raised just over 2000 pounds now. It is 10 months since my original diagnosis and I have my 1st post- treatment mammogram in May/ June. The time has flown by but I think that this marathon training has kept me busy and focussed.

Go girl!

I’m totally in awe of such discipline and determination given that 10 months isn’t such a long time. I hope you have an exhilarating day.

Kat, good luck & positive motivational vibes coming your way for Sunday!

Hi there Kat, I’m running a marathon in June for bc too. I finished chemo and rads just before xmas so it’s great to be getting busy with this. Best of luck tomorrow and also with your mammogram in May/June. Chat soon, Teacup xx

O and well done on fundraising so much money. That is fab. x

Go girl. Enjoy the day…

Good Luck

Hi Everyone,

I’ve done it, got the t-shirt and the medal!
I’m hurting all over and can’t walk up the stairs but it was well worth it as I have raised approximately 2200 pounds for Breast Cancer Care!
Thank you for your words of encouragement and support

Well done Kat, a fantastic achievement

Well done. I’ve put my name down for the Ben Nevis climb. Watching you and many others yesterday running the marathon has inspired me. Might even have a go at the marathon myself next year…

Hi Kat

On behalf of everyone at Breast Cancer Care I just wanted to add our congratulations on your fantastic achievement.

Best wishes
Katie

Well done, Kat. I hope you are very proud of yourself, both in running the marathon so soon after dx and in your fundraising. Speaking as someone who has only recently got to grips with 5k again, I am in awe!

Congratulations and well done. An inspiration to us all!

Val

Thank you for your support.

I would encourage everyone to give it a go if they are able to x

Well done on completing the marathon - you are an inspiration to us all. I have done some abseiling for charities in the past and contemplated a parachute jump last year which was postponed due to lack of support. I am considering doing another event when I am ‘back to normal’ but I can honestly say it will NOT be a marathon. Cancer will not kill me but I would not like to rate my chances of survival if I decided to run further than the bus stop!

Kat, well done to you, what a fantastic achievement and I hope your sore bits recover very quickly! Good for you!

Lyn xx
