London Moonwalk 2011

Dear all,
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 , aged 39.
I am due to do the Moonwalk next week -this is a 26.2 mile powerwalk around London during the night, to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. walkthewalk.org/AboutUs
I have just done my final training walk today (20 miles) and although very painful (thank you Arimidex!!)I am just sooo grateful to still be here to do it.

I would like to dedicate this walk to all the brave ladies (and men) out there who are dealing with this awful disease, and the families who support us throughout it all.

Good luck to any of you out there who are doing this too - see you there and lets hope we raise an awful lot of money!

Good luck HS - my daughter did the moonwalk a couple times, said it was a wonderful experience. Be prepared for it to take a long time though - there can be a few bottle necks where it gets really slow. Hope the weather is good for you.

Good luck with the Moonwalk. I did it in 2008 with my sister and a friend and it was a good experience. I have never been so exhausted and stiff as I was afterwards though! Be prepared for long queues for the loos and take advantage of water and snack stops too. xxx
