This might not work for everybody but I found it helpful. In between learning that I’d be going to have chemo and my pre chemo haircut, I wore my hair up most of the time which I don’t do normally. That meant I had a few weeks getting used to not having my hair hanging down before I had to face having short hair and then eventually losing it all.
