Looking for help and support

Hello everyone. I am new on here posted once before but looking for advice and to make friends. I had my final letter from where i had my 3 surgeries today and now being reffered to an ongology at another hospitol to discuss chemo, radiation and hormones. I had multifocal breast cancer high grade DCIS and two positive nodes. I am really scared about chemo and coping. Does anyone have any advice on what to expect when i go to the appointment.

Hi :sparkling_heart: I’m at a similar stage to you and am awaiting my appointment with the oncologist and oncotype test results so equally not sure what to expect. I think they’ll just tlak you the rough the results fully and all of your treatment options.

I know everybody reacts to chemo differently but I asked for some positive chemo stories on here last week and there were quite a few ladies that shared there stories (all positive), which really made me feel like it’s do-able. I have 2 young children and really don’t them to see me poorly. I had a lumpectomy and they just think I have a poorly arm.

Sending lots of love your way xx

Hi @katie91 i havent had an onco test lots of prople discussing thid maybe its my atea that doesnt do them!! I had a NPI 3.84 result which puts me in a moderate group NPI scores of 3.4 dont need chemo from what ive read so think chemo is deffo on cards and im worried.

How are you coping with everything because im not hence reaching ouy

Waiting is the worst. You are doing brilliantly so pat yourself on the back. It’s really awful to have an illness that doesn’t hurt but has treatments that do.

That is so unfair. As is having to keep going doing all the jobs women do to support their families. Put yourself first for once however hard that may be.

Trying so hard to be positive.

I am so scared of chemo was on diazapam for the whole of december as was going out my head.

Had to wait 5 weekf for results from full node clearance now another 4 to 6 for ongologist as at a different hospital.

Trying really hard to keep calm. @katie91 tagged me in some positive stories.

Think because of the 3 ops it wiped me out. Stay on the sofa alot .

Day at a time trying not to be hard on myself

Also worried about losing my job
