I went to the bcc younger women forum on 1st July 2011. I met quite a few lovely women there unfortunately I was v v sick the next day and was admitted for a few days. I was looking for women I met there. I know the name and I am sure they r registered here. Please contact me here, I would love to get more tips. Thank u for the emend n drink tip. Thank u xx

I remember you from the forum. I was sitting on the same table as you on the first day. Sorry to hear you were unwell and needed to be admitted. Hiya

I am in touch with two girls from the forum on macmillian website but i missed everyone from our table. I have been really unwell and I was thinking about everyone I met. i know it was only for a few hours but gave me strength that I am not alone in this.

I remember you very well Lisa. I didnt see you at dinner though. I have lost so much hair after my second taxatere chemo, my eyebrows and eye lashles are thining a bit too.

So, so sorry you were too poorly to join in with us the following day. It really was very useful - but maybe you can go on the one next year too? They’ve been really good with forwarding on notes - so if there were any talks that you’d been particularly looking forward to and missed, they might be able to forward them to you. But, I agree, one of the most useful things about the weekend was realising you weren’t alone in this and gaining strength from meeting others, a similar age, in a similar situation.

Definitely keep in touch and let us know if you have any questions. Whereabouts are you from?

I’m starting TAX and Herceptin in 10 days.

Hi, sorry couldnt reply earlier. I am feeling much better now however on the flip side I have my third chemo next wed, Not happy.

I live in London. I just wish I could find something for oral thrush as it is very painful and not eating is more painful.

Hi all on here. I attended the BCC forum too (was sitting at the table at the front by the door) and am in touch with a couple of the others. blueboo, they are running some similar sessions called Moving Forward Programme which starts next Tues and is four sessions over 4 weeks. I am attending as I have finished all my treatment but am struggling with the next bit which is what all the hard stuff was for!!

Do you know if there are any forums in Cambridgeshire? Just had a mastectomy and looking to speak to people who can talk to me about what I can expect from Chemo.
