hey as i can see others have posted similar stories and not to sound the same i know at the moment im more lucky then most on here right now.
Im just a little worried, i have had a ultrasound, and two biospys which have both been inconclusive so i now have to go in for a lumpoetcy or however you spell it…
I just want to know what im dealing with, i know im only 22 and still young and age is on myside in this factor but it doesnt nessicarly mean it isnt cancer nor does it mean it is…im just scared …and just want to know whats wrong…
Of course you’re scared - all of us have felt exactly the same way during the ‘waiting game’. And there are women who have posted on here who have gone on to be given the all clear - so don’t give up hope. I don’t know how they ascertain what is definitely ‘clear’ and what is definitely ‘cancerous’, but someone else on here might be able to help you out there - or you could ring your breast care nurse, and see if she can shed any light on it for you. The helpline here is also a good source of information.
For the emotional side of it - this forum is a wonderful place to be, and you can count on the women here to give you tons of support and encouragement. Of course, we’ll all be hoping you’ve only been given very temporary membership of the club that none of us actually wanted to join… but temporary members are just as important!

Thanks for the reply
I am hoping that its not…
And thanks for being supportive its just the not knowing, if i know then atleast then i know what im facing and what needs to be done.
Im waiting for my operation date. Then going to take it from there, what ive read and seen makes me realise that right now i am lucky its just anxiety!!
I know just what you are going through, I am 29 and have had two ultra sounds and one fine needle biopsy which came back inconclusive. In fact six doctors have looked at my lump/mass and don’t know what the hell it is, so I am having a lumpectomy next Wednesday. I am convinced one minute I have cancer and the next it’s silly because of my age. But I like you don’t think that age rules me out of the possibility. Until someone says It’s definitely benign I can’t move on.
When is your surgery?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Take care

Hey thanks for replying!
Its awful not knowning. Im not sure which biospys i have had? Both i had to have local anthestic for and the first was done in the consutlants room by her and then the one after was done using the ultrasound to make sure they deffo got the lump! Which also came back inconclusive.
Im waiting for my appointment to come through, i dont think they worry too much due to age, but i do have family history of it!
Im just like you thinking its prob not in one way cause of my age but it doesnt nesscerialy mean its not either…frustation of not knowning and everyone saying dont worry your only young doesnt help!!
I hope your operation goes ok and you get the right results as soon as possible to stop your nerves! xx
One thing we all know about is the awful ‘waiting for results’. the not knowing is really difficult, we all feel the same. I wish you both the very best results and come back anytime to get support here.
Take care.
