Hi there,
I’m 28 nearly 29 and underwent a single mastectomy on 27th October. Recovery was going really well. Had the results and had further tests and seeing consultant on Wednesday. However for the last 6 days I’ve woken up with lower back pain, it does go throughout the day but really hurts when I wake up - no idea if connected. Going to speak to consultant before go to gp anyone else had anything like this…xxxx
MichelleHx,
Hello there, my name is Mary and when I read your post I thought it sounds just like me.
I had a lumpectomy on 15th August, clear margin and no lymph nodes involved so I was very fortunate in that I did not require chemo and had a month of radiotherapy.
I have in this past month been waking with really tight feelin back pain (lower) in the morning which does indeed ease as day goes on. I have been imagining all sorts but I, too have the oncologist on Wednesdayand will mention it then.
I hope you get some advice too. Take care, Mary xx
Another morning with back pain, worked out not all lower back just one side. Hope consultant will offer some advice, think I’ve been compensating some how with walking or whatever. Looking forward to 430 so many questions, but worried she will say see you in a year with tamoxifen. Journey started early October and not sure ready for that x
