Lump in bottom part of breast found help please..

Hi, I have just found this forum and it has loadds of great info…I have had a lump in the bottom part of my left breast for a few weeks and on Monday 16th Feb I plucked up the courage and went to see my doc…She has reffered me to a breast clinic and this afternoon I had a telephone call to give me my appointment next Thursday 26th Feb. I am a bit worried about how quick this has happened… It was explained that I will have a scan and a mammogram then see the doc…I am 53 years old and had my routine mammogram 3 years ago which was clear…The lump that I have is in the lower half of my breast under the nipple not painful and sort of feels fixed…Most of what I have read refers to lumps in other areas not the bottom part anyone else had a lump there?? Any help please!
