Lumpiness under my WLE scar

I haven’t posted for a while. Finished treatment in April/May time. WLE, SNB (no nodes involved) Rads and chemo(i was told as a precaution due to my young age!) I can feel a lump under the scar…which has been there a while… my ONC said it was scar tissue at the last appt (3 mths ago) My surgeon said the same (5mths ago) But this week when I had my 3mth check with my surgeon it seemed to concern him. He’s booked me a mammo and ultra sound…which I am almost due for anyway. But am now terribly worried all over again… even though he said ‘try not to worry- its probably scar tissue!’

Slatch ,I had a WLE in Aug 2009 and I had the same lumpy bit as you and was told the same until March this year when I told my surgeon I was very concerned so I was sent for Mammos and US which found fat necrosis which is just a sort of scar tissue.I have now had a MRI scan as part of my annual follow up and that was clear too.
Fingers crossed yours is the same.

Pleased that was all clear for you Dot!!
I had my mammo and ultra sound yesterday…it was and oily cyst causing the lump. Apparantly not uncommon after surgery! The doc just popped in needle and drained off thick oily gloop! He even put some on my finger to feel…just like oil! I watched on the ultrasound machine at the lump just shrunk to nothing!!! What a relief! When I popped my mammos and scan results into my consultant/surgeon…he said ‘I thought that would be the case, but we can never be to sure…sorry if I worried you!’ Worried??? Sometimes they just don’t get it do they??
Anyway all clear on the mammos - so I can breathe again!!
