Lumpy Breasts

Lumpy Breasts I finished radiotherapy at begining of January. All seemed fine and I started tamoxifen. I had radiotherapy to both breasts as I had a different cancer in each one.
Now my boobs have gone really odd. They are both very hard and bumpy to touch. All the skin is deeply wrinkled on the lower section. When I showed my husband he looked amazed!!! Is this normal?
Hi there I am sorry to hear you have problems with your breast. I looked at your profile but could not see if you have had a mastectomy and Reconstrucion. If so I have met a few women since I was diagnosed that had found their implants had become very hard they sit higher and they are bumpy. I asked my surgeon and he said this was quite normal that the Radio can do this but once Radio is over if they need to they can change the implant. I would reccomend that you go and see your breast care nusre or surgeon.

I didn’t have a mastectomy. I had an incision in my right breast and an incision in my left armpit. I was very lucky that although I had two cancers they were very small.

lumps and bumps Hi I finished radiotheraphy December, and I have noticed that on the underside of my breast, the pores have opened up and I have a long lump of breast tissue running under my breast.
I had a lumpectomey,(on the top of my breast) and lymph node removal last year (13 taken all clear). followed by chemo. then rads, and now tamoxifen.
I have spoken to other women in my support group and the generally concensus is that they go lumpy, and eventually the breast will shrink.
Did lose a couple layers of skin awhile back, it looked like I had dandruff in my bra, cos everytime I took my bra off it showered the bedroom floor.
So you are not alone! and it is normal.
Take care
