Just a silly question really…
How common is it with b/c for the lymph nodes to become involved??
9 out of 14 of mine were…Just wondering…??xxxx

I had my lymph node infected. I knew at last one of my lymph nodes was involved because I had a huge lump in my armpit.

I had 21 removed and none affected

I had 13 removed and 2 infected.
Grade 3 IDC 2.5cm tumour

I had 5.5 cm tuumour Grade 3 - but luckily no lymph node involvement

Just goes to show everyone so different.

I had 5/9 involved - size of lump was 13mmx7mm

I had 20/23 involved. Another lady on here I think had 25/30. So it can vary greatly.

I had 15/19 involved. Like teacup has said, it can vary from person to person. My believe (someone correct me if I’m wrong) is that the quicker the cancer is caught the less lymph nodes involved. I was told I only had 19 lymph glands - this also varies from person to person. I was told I was stage 3b because of my lymph node involvement.

The three of us who had our op the same day all had node involvement.Two of us had just the one and the other girl had seven out of nine.Sadly my friend with one node involved quickly developed secondaries but the girl with seven and myself are still NED 4+yrs later.
