I had a mx on 23rd July and just had the results grade 2 and one of the lymph nodes affected of the five they took. The surgeon has left the choice with me to have axillary clearance after chemo or radiotherapy to armpit and neck area. The node affected was not one which was picked up by the dye or one the sentinal node scan but one which she could ‘feel’. I know the side effect of ax clearance is lymphodema and at 29 not sure what choice to make. She can not give me any data etc on the outcomes…has anyone got any advice?
