After eight years after mastectomy chemo, rads, hormone etc etc I was told 3 weeks ago that I have lymphanghtis spread in lungs - extremely bad prognosis… also bone mets and liver mets and lymphatics. I certainly don’t do things by half do I? Anyone else out there in a similar prediciment?
So sorry to hear of your diagnosis, Joan. I can’t help but just bumping in the hope that someone who can will be along soon. Sending gentle hugs to you (((((((()))))))) Angelfalls xx
Joan I’m really sorry to hear your news. It must be such a shock for you and it’s difficult when you have something rare. Your always on the lookout to find eomeone to compare notes
But im afraid I can’t help. I recently had a regional recurrence in my interpectoral lymph nodes and having my last chemo tomorrow. Previously had bc twice before and following the first time I did get lymphangitis. It was following wle and snb. And it was in my arm. I ended up being admitted to hosp and on Iv abs for a few days which resolved the issue and although I have had cording, cellulitis and mild lymphoedeama Iv not had anything serious.
Hope you can find somebody who has been through something similar to share their experience.
Good luck with any treatment you will be getting.
Take care x
Hi
I was diagnosed the bone mets in 2008 and lymphanghitis in Sept 2010. I’m on my last cycle of Xeloda ( no 8). Had a good response to the chemo, cough went on 1st cycle. X-rays look good, got to have a final CT scan.
Have you got your treatment plan yet?
Going to Israel in 5 weeks and Greece in May, going to make the most of feeling good.
My friend who we call the Xeloda Queen has been in Xeloda for 8 years and it’s kept her liver mets stable.
With very best wishes
Sue xx
I started paclitaxel chemo immediately (12 once weekly planned). Oncologist will scan after 6 to see if it’s working (scarey)!! I’ve had 4 so far and the only problem I have is sleeping because of the steroids. Any advice on sleep would be fantastic?
