I have history with BC, this time I have ‘extensive LVI’ was dx jan 2011 and had treatment all year just ahd mx/recon aux clearance etc, I was told 4 months ago that I would be taking tamoxifen as am ER+ my onc all but handed me the prscription at the end od july then decided he would do me a favour and not give it as I was going on holiday fro 2 weeeks then 2 weeks after that surgery, I had surgery oct 3rd and been feeling as I should be taking the tamoxifen, I am still waiting to see onc post surgery appt so asked breast care nurse if she could just get prescription off him as he was going to give it me anyway…she asked and was told no as they wanted to ‘discuss me in their MDT’? so am seriously worried now???

Did they say how hormone positive you were? It’s maybe that it’s not that ER positive and they want to see if tamoxifen would still be worthwhile or perhaps they are going to suggest having your ovaries removed and taking an aromatase inhibitor… It could just be that your an interesting case and they want run everything by their colleaugues to make sure everybody is happy with all your treatment.

OH has man flu!!! I am having an anxious time …don’t know why now particularly is it the case when things change gear- up or down- its unsettling? I have been getting breathless and pains in my chest why oh why do we think trhe worst GP reckons it’s anxiety or muscular and she is probably right as I don’t seem to notice it when I am busy and as for post surgery you know what I had done there!!! thanks once again for being a bright light in a dark corner XXXXX Jeanette xx

I think it’s a very common concern when you get towards the end of treatment and the contact with the hospital starts to lessen that people can feel a bit lost and like they are on their own… But your never on your own with us lot.
Not sure if o have seen this but thought it may beef interest to you and and any otherladies coming towards the end of your treatment…
