I wondered if anyone close enough would like to attend Miao’s service?
A couple of secondary women were hoping to attend but now can’t.
It would be nice if there was a rep from her BCC friends. The funeral is on Thursday 25th (this Thursday so late notice!) at 1pm Weston Crematorium and there is also a memorial service at 2.30 at the Kingdom Hall in Weston.
Even if no-one can make it I know Miao will be remembered in our thoughts on Thursday

There are three or four of us going to Miao’s funeral from the Bristol and Somerset area. Some of us knew Miao well from the meet ups at Browns in Bristol and we are all members of the CanDo facebook site as well as BCC. If anyone else from here is going, do post if you would like to meet up with us.
Anne

Five of us went today. The crematorium was packed, standing room only when we arrived, although some very kind men gave up their seats for us. We were very sad to have lost the youngest member of our Bristol and Somerset group and I felt dreadfully sorry for Miao’s Mum ( I have daughters a little older than Miao.) There was mention of Miao’s love of cats and football and her lovely smile. That’s how I will remember her - with her favourite white hat on, smiling and talking about cats, just as we did when I last saw her.
We didn’t go to the memorial service afterwards as we wanted to remember her personally, so we went out to lunch instead, which was fitting as most times we met Miao it was over lunch.
RIP Miao - we will miss you

Thank you for letting us know about the service AnneG. I woud love to have been there but could not trave that far and I loved Miao’s posts and her contact with us from another site where I coud see her photoss. I too have a daughter of similar age to Miao and that is what found hard. I was thinking of her Mum. But she told us about her Mum coming over and then her Mum going home again. I am glad they manage to share this time together. Yes Miao was FAR TOO YOUNG to be taken so early. Thank you for being there for us. I appreciate it too. val

Thank you so much Anne for letting us know about the service,I am so glad she had some of her BC pals there. It sounds like Miao was popular wherever she was,as she deserved to be as she was a lovely person.
I think going to lunch afterward was very fiiting and hope you managed some laughter amongst the sadness.
RIP sweet Miao
