Mamagram
Mamagram Hello Everyone,
I have a mamagram tomorrow morning as a result of seeing the consultant with nipple discharge a week and a half ago. I have been told that it can be quite painfull and with being a little large up top not looking forward to it.
Can anyone tell me if they give you your results there and then or do i have another wait.
The consultant was rather blunt and at the time and didnt think to ask any questions… Just remember her saying ’ If something wrong it comes off ', which at the time nearly knocked me on my back, plus would let hubby in so he didnt have chance to ask any either.
I hope everyone is well and anyone waiting for results hear some good news.

Hi Claire
I think it depends on the hospital. Where I am being treated they tell you there and then. After doing a mammo they may well do an ultra sound if they find any area that needs closer inspection.
I wish you all the best and will kept fingers crossed that there is nothing of note.

Claire Hi Claire
Sorry to hear you are having some trouble. I suppose we all have our own threasholds were pain is concerned but I can honestly say that in the mammograms I have had none of them were painful - more uncomfortable than painful. Just cling on to the fact that it only lasts minutes and you will be fine.
I am sure all hospitals will have different procedures but when i went for my mammogram, I was told to hang around whilst they made their report and went back to the consultant’s waiting room and got the results straight away. I hope you get your results straight away as the waiting game is always the worst.
Take care and hope everything turns out ok. Let us know how you get on.

Results straight away at my hosp Hi Claire
I too presented with nipple discharge…and each time ive had a mammogram the consultant has seen me and told me the results within an hour or so…had another one today on my good side and it didnt hurt at all, she told me the results there and then.
Be prepared for lots of the discharge to ooze out when its fully squashed…at least it did with me which was a bit of a shock!
Hope it all goes well for you fingers crossed.

Hi Claire,
I have just had the same symptoms and subsequent mammogram, now had my results and mine is a hormone imbalance, so its not always bad news.
I had to wait just over a week for my results.
Hope you have good news too.
