Hi every one. I am playing the waiting game at the mo.I have just had my 5 year mamo the mamo lady said the experts would look at the x/rays and i would get a letter within the next 2 weeks, i am worried beause i have never been told i will get a letter before, i think she could tell i was a stress head, she did say you look really well, my friend thinks she would not have said you look really well if i was stood there with cancer. My BC nurse always gets my results as quick as she can for me as she knows what a state i get into, thankfully she will be back from holiday on Monday. The Mamo ladies are well trained they give nothing away. opinions please.
you all take care. XX
Hi Kippy
I’ve only ever had one mammo, and the results were given by letter, so I had assumed that was normal. I had always thought that the mammo techs didn’t actually see the images when you are there - but that may be completely wrong. Try not to worry - I don’t think you can read anything in to what they said - although would be nice if your bcn can get the results quicker.

Yea, thanks for that, trying to keep calm.
Hi I think the radiographer does see the images because after the mammogram is done you have to wait and then she/he comes out and lets you know if it’s fine or whether they have to take another image,I always get a bit nervous at that point and dread them coming out and saying we have to do it again lol. After my last mammogram I was told I would get the results in a letter in a couple of weeks, I waited 7 weeks and in the end I rang my BCN to see where they were and she told me the results over the phone.
Best wishes Mel xx
