the way I managed my menopausal symptoms was to stop taking tamoxifen, it worked very well. I couldn’t work and drive 39 miles each way to get there after disturbed sleep every night.

Luckily I have low grade cancer, but I had a mortgage to pay

Hi Mole

If you have a mortgage dont you have life cover? If so doesnt it include critical illness? If so then get a claim in!!! Not everyone seems to realise they pay out for primary non spread bc!!

I didn’t need life cover as I don’t have any dependants. I paid off my mortgage two years after being diagnosed after getting an endowment payout which came to £12,000 - I added £3,000 savings and that was it, mortgage free - it’s great, but by then I’d been off the tamoxifen about a year.
