Hey folks.

I’ve just finished my last chemo!

4 x EC (fortnightly dose dense)
4 x pac (fortnightly dose dense)

With a few weeks of delays due to infection and peripheral neuropathy I wasn’t sure I’d be able to see it right through to the end but I’ve got there.

Not feeling particularly triumphant but it’s something else ticked off the list. Small wins.

Will be lying low for a few days as usual then planning on a short (fairly local) caravan break with hubby and the kids next week then a couple of weeks before radiotherapy and hormone suppressants.

I’ve been told I’ve to have monthly prostap injections along with exemestane for 5 years then 5 of tamoxifen.

Hope the last few weeks of chemo are going reasonably well for everyone. :muscle:t3:

Had my surgery (completion of axillary clearance) on Tuesday & doing ok. Another box ticked. Biopsy results in 3-4 weeks, then radiotherapy. It’s a long haul, but we are all making progress!
I hope everyone else is doing ok, especially now that most of the chemo is coming to an end x

Huge congrats
Huge achievement! I’m just behind you and have my last chemo on Tuesday! 15 chemos done and I’m a bit battered by it all! 2 stone heavier but hair growing back! X

So nice that everyone is ending their chemo and ticking the boxes :muscle:

I received the pathology report today and while the margins are clear and no spread to lymph nodes (amazing news!), there was 4mm of residual cancer in the tumor. So I’ll have 15 sessions of radiation and then 6 months of capecitabin (oral chemo). Right now, I just want to cry. The doctor and my friends say it’s a very good result but I see only 6 months of more treatment ahead of me…of course, I can choose not to take it since they do it ā€œjust in caseā€ but I don’t think I can tolerate the risk of recurrence.
It’s such a long journey to cure something that seems so tiny and so huge at the same time

Sending love and strength. Hoping the next bit of the journey is kind to you. And by spring this will all be a distant memory :pray:t3:

Hi all not been on here in ages!!
Was really poorly on the switch from EC to DOCETAXEL and had allergic reaction (twice), so they stopped my chemo.

Now on day 4 of my radiotherapy (10 days planned) and it is so much gentler……and quicker!!

Lots of lovely people too
Few more to get through then 7 years of tablets :grinning: but I don’t care cause I can get to feel normal again.

I’m still a goof! ….and still trip over air :joy:without alcohol hehehe

Wishing everyone the best!!!

……and hello @cruising ! …was really nice to meet you today

Had my 1st/10 radio yesterday and noticed someone with a Little Lifts bag, got chatting and we both realised were in this group, so a big HELLO to @sa72 and great to see you again today, I’m sure we’ll catch up next week… don’t forget… no more building cabinets lol xx Good to see everyone coming to a finish with chemo, I promise radio is sooo much easier, they have a bell here too so you can bet i’ll be ringing it.

So good to hear you’re doing ok and that radio is so much easier. I have one chemo left on Tuesday! Just want it over and done with now! 21 weeks of chemo (15 cycles) has been tough! I get a 4 week break before radio (well I’ve got a ct scan and injection in those 4 weeks). Thank goodness this chemo will soon be over! I’m currently in bed as it hits me on a fri and sat! X
