Hi all have recurrance to breast and secondaries to lung which has responded well to taxol, but breast lump not shrunk in last 3 months. Due to see breast surgeon soon to discuss this as the team feel an op is the next step as breast lump not responding well to chemo. Am thinking of asking for a double mastectomy as I am a 40 e chest and don’t feel I can cope with the lopsided ness. Not really keen on reconstruction, have been told i will need chemo again at some point so would like to get back to some normality while I can .
I am 47.
Anyone there there had similar or any advice welcome
