Hi,
I am now 4 weeks post skin sparing mastectomy with immediate expander implant, I have just finished my 4th week of anti-biotics to prevent infection. My surgeon is concerned that under the deep black scabs my skin has no blood supply to heal. I have weekly check ups and have been told they won’t know the condition of the skin until the scabs come off. Has anyone else experienced this? I usually heal very quickly, how long have most of you found it has taken to scab off? Any info greatly recieved. Thanks
