Hi everyone have not been on here for sometime have been trying to keep busy , so I don’t have too think about it. Have op this Friday. Fingers crossed as I know sometimes they cancel your appointments. Having right Breast done hopefully to be reconstructed at the same time, feeling very anxious and scared to be honest. Anyone have any tips like what to take in with me or what to expect (help please). Xxx

Hi Murphy,
I had a mastectomy (after 2 failed Lumpectomies). It honestly wasn’t that bad, had immediate reconstruction & the result is good. I was back at work after 3 weeks & had very little pain. The worst part was the drain which stayed in for 2 weeks. I suggest a shoulder bag to put the drain bottle in which you can wear crossed over your shoulder when you leave hospital. M&S sports bras which do up at the front are really good. I was advised to get one size bigger. Best of luck & feel free to ask anymore questions. Sonia xx
