Hi two weeks had a mastectomy,lymph node removal and reconstruction the pain in my arm and armpit are unbearable when will this get better.This Thursday have on oncologist appointment to find out what the next plan of action is feeling nervous x
Hi Tracey I’m Anne pleased to meet you.I had mastectomy and node sampling 3/5 nodes positive but couldn’t have reconstruction at same time as history of smoking.It was 5 weeks Friday just gone since my op and felt really good from week 3 with normal movement back but if I rub where boob used to be there is numbness.The skin running down the inner side of my armpit had a soreness like a sunburn feeling but that went around week 3.I feel really good now but have to have ct scan 23rd November and start chemo 25th November.when chemo is finished I will be having node clearance.I’ve got a long road ahead but am positive about getting there.it is a traumatic time for all of us but we put our trust in the experts and that’s all we can do.At the end of week 3 im sure you will notice a difference it gets better week by week.xx
