I’m due to have a double mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy next Tuesday (6 days from now) and feel like I’m coming down with a cold. Typical after going months without one! How likely is it to affect whether my surgery can go ahead? I’ve been waiting months, so I’d be so disappointed if it had to be rescheduled.

You don’t have to make a decision on it just yet, cancellations happen right up to the day of surgery. See how it goes over the next few days. Sometimes, ive had days where I felt I was going to come down with something, only for it not to materialise, you never know, till its obvious.
