There is light at the end of the tunnel xxxx

Hi Smallstar

What an amazing thing to do! To turn such a devestating diagnosis into something so positive is wonderful.

Wishing you and your lovely family all the very best for the future and hope your centre goes from strength to strength. xx

Thank you! That was fantastic - I can’t tell you how much of a boost it has given me as I sit here with one breast, awaiting the start of chemo next week… although a recon is on the cards for me later, right now it doesn’t seem possible that I will ever have a matching set! Thank you so, so much for sharing.

Sophie xx

Your very welcome, the next part of my video diary will show my breasts as they are now  which are better than I could have hoped for… just waiting for everything to settle and a little bit of tweaking here and there, hopefully have some nipples for christmas !! (next year though now hehe)

Take care ladies and keep smiling xx

Ooh looking forward to seeing the end result … I’ve had bilateral mx with tissue expanders too and having recon in new year so will compare - never been so excited about an operation before!
By the way … are you still wanting scarves, books etc for your centre?

thanks xx yes please !!! xx

Hi - have just watched your video diary. Well done on being so open and public about this. I’ve been advised to have a double masectomy although one breast is still heathly to reduce the risks, especially as I am ER- and PR-. It feels incredibly drastic to remove healthy tissue, but really don’t want to go through this again and spend my life worrying about it so I know it’s the right thing to do. Also I’m hoping it means that my working on the two breasts together that they might look similar at the end

My Dad lives in Tamworth so I’ll try to check out your centre next time I visit…
