Hi I had a mastectomy last thursday (26thjanuary)and had my drain taken out today. I have not been in pain until today. The site where the breast is stinging and burning. Is anyone else at the same stage as me?

I had my drain removed yesterday. The entry/exit site is very sore initially but should settle down. They put a dressing on mine and I’m having it checked tomorrow. You’ll be better tomorrow x

My arm is swollen, I think it’s lymph oedema and the area where my breast was is burning! But other then that I am fine. How are you doing?

I’m fine. My drain site healing quickly and much more comfortable now. Sorry to hear your arm is swelling. Mine lymphoedema kicked in about 9 months after my original MX & ANC. It’s still quite a mild case and I don’t even bother with my glove or sleeve most of the time. Has your drain site been any easier today?

hi. i also had a mastectomy & node removal on 26 jan. i had the last of my 3 drains removed on wednesday.im still quite sore & bruised & have a numb feeling & pins n needles across my chest & down my arm. hopefully the phsio will ease this in time. i hope u r feeling better today. x
