Just wondering if there is anyone out there working for the prison service and looking at medical retirement due to Breast cancer?
I am the only person I know who has been diagnosed as I work in a male prison predominantly male staff. wood not think I would be able to go back to the full duties! Any help/advise gratefully accepted.

I tried to post but somehow it got lost…I will post later today because it is my birthday and I am meeting my daughter for lunch. I am retired from the service last October…a week before I was diagnosed. Have experience of ladies I worked with who had BC. I was in a maximum security prison, mostly male staff. They were given jobs without prisoner contact whilst undergoing treatment…gate, censors, admin, training etc. don’t let them push you out if you don’t want to retire…but if you do that is a different matter.
