I wondered if anyone with a recurrence or secondaries living in the Gtr Manchester (or North West) area would be interested in meeting up?
I’m being treated for a regional recurrence at present (history in profile) and would appreciate sharing experiences/advice with those in a similar position.
I guess I feel a little in limbo as it’s different to being originally diagnosed and I’m dealing with a whole new set of emotions & fears.

I would definately be interested. I live in Chester, but don’t mind travelling. I have recently gone part time, so have more available time. I am newish to secondaries, I was diagnosed with bone mets in April.
I was hoping to meet up with some of the ‘Manchester cupcake girls’ in October, but then couldn’t go due to work commitments. (If any of you are reading this, are you planning to meet up again in the near future?)

I ‘know’ Nicola from live chat. I have had bone mets for over 3 yrs as they were diagnosed along with the bc. I live in Morecambe so a good bit further north but it’s reasonably easy for me to get to Manchester by train and I would love to meet other mets girls face-to-face. Anytime will be fine for me as I’m retired (early). Just to need fit round my trips out!!
I would be interested in meeting up too. I’m also quite new to the secondaries phase, having bone mets diagnosed in Feb this year after my initial diagnosis in June 2008. I live in north staffordshire, about an hour’s drive from Manchester, but can do the route to Christies almost in my sleep now!
Count me in claire As u no I’m iin Liverpool but will happily jump the train to Manchester city centre providing the meet doesn’t clash with my rads appointments.

Hi girls – have a look at the Manchester Cupcakes thread in the “Secondaries: meet-ups” section for our next get-together, later this month or early December, I think. We meet at the Manchester Craft Centre in the Northern Quarter (lunch, tea, cake, chat, laughs, shopping) – would be lovely to see you there!! Marilyn x
I was looking for the thread earlier and couldn’t find it so thanks for guiding me in the right direction!! I’d love to join you and the ‘cupcakes’ please keep me informed when the next meet is and I’ll try and make it (depends on my chemo) I’ll be sure to let the other ladies know who have also expressed an interest in meeting up in the Manchester area.
